Users

LS Central is licensed by CALs, which are assigned on a named user basis, meaning each individual requires a separate user license. Named user licenses cannot be shared, but an individual with a named user license may access the software through multiple devices. Users are classified into two types: Full Users and Additional Users.

Full Users

Full Users receive unrestricted direct or indirect access to all functionality across the ERP solution. Full Users are used for administering the solution, accounting and non-retail related activities in Store or Head Office Database. They are also used for retail related activities that are executed at non-retail locations (Head office, etc.), or at retail locations for multiple other retail locations.

There are two types of Full Users: Essentials and Premium

  • The Essentials User covers Financial Management, Customer Relationship, Project Management, Supply Chain, HR and Warehouse Management.
  • The Premium User includes all functionality of the Essential User, and additionally covers Service Management and Manufacturing.

Team Members

Team Members are Additional named CALs designed for users that require basic functionality. Team Members get restricted access to the ERP solution allowing access to read any data and write to a maximum of three table objects with some exceptions as per Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central licensing guidelines. A Team Member user is not a Full User and therefore not counted towards the required number of LS Central Base – Per Full User module.
