Dual Usage Right License (DUR) Dual Access right License (DAR)

On Demand all active LS Central SaaS the customers can request for a Dual Use Right license* allowing customers to deploy the software either in a Microsoft cloud or in a private on-premises or partner-hosted cloud.

In line with dual license rights, an flf* license file becomes available in CustomerSource/PartnerSource that is used to deploy the solution on-prem.

Essential User, Premium User, Team Members and Devices may access the on-prem license via dual use rights.

The country code on the on-prem license is defaulted as per the customer address and that will be the license localization. If this is not correct, please indicate what country code is needed on the on-prem license during the initial request. If the customer has multiple production environments, a specific on-prem country license can be requested for each environment.

Objects between 50.000 and 99.999 are free of charge and included and useable in each DUR license.

When the LS Central SaaS License is updated (added to the license or deactivated) new .flf license file is obligated to be downloaded from PSBC to reflect the changes made to the LS Central SaaS license.

*The Dual Usage Right license is only valid as long as the LS Central SaaS license is active and includes Offline Store for Data replication.

**flf file is a license file that needs to be uploaded when installing Business Central on Premises

Dual access Right License (DAR):

Customers are allowed to use their previously purchased on-premises product during their migration.

The dual access rights allows the customer to continue using their existing on-premises license purchased via the Dynamics Price List while simultaneously deploying Dynamics 365 Business Central online. If the customer requires additional users on their on-premises license they will need to license these via the DPL.
